In 2017, stock for multinational commercial aviation and defense business behemoth, Boeing, grew by 95%. At MarkLogic World this year, Boeing Senior Enterprise Architect, Sema Ustuntas, discussed with MarkLogic SVP of Engineering, David Gorbet, some of the challenges of reigning in a century of data created internally as well as arriving from numerous acquisitions. Sema, who runs Boeing’s Global Data Access Initiative, explained how MarkLogic is helping Boeing integrate data, establish data governance, improve compliance and apply security controls so employees, partners and vendors can safely share information.
